I can’t seem to get over some news articles from valid sources. This article was about the “fascination” with new Internet advertising. Well, as we can see from the title, this movie needed more than Internet buzz, it needed a new movie. A quote from the article that particularly fascinates me is when an executive for tracking box office numbers says, “We see that Internet interest in a movie doesn’t necessarily translate to good box office.” Yea, well that’s because the movie you’re hyping is stupid. The plot is stupid, the hype is stupid, and the idea that getting a bunch of people talking about it, which was saying the movie looked…stupid, isn’t how to utilize the greatest repository of human knowledge ever assembled. This article reverifies that the Internet doesn’t matter to anyone in the movie business except to make trouble with gossip and premature releases of information. I have put this under movie review, though, I have absolutely no intention of seeing it, the whole thing just was so absurd, I had to say something.
